Overview
The microbial culturing module contains the reagents necessary for teaching basic sterile technique, culturing E. coli, transforming ampicillin-resistant bacteria, and growing miniprep cultures. The protocol can easily be integrated into existing microbiology laboratory activities and independent study projects.
This module is an integral component of the Cloning and Sequencing Explorer Series but may also be purchased separately for preparing media for bacterial culture propagation.
