Advancing Science Beyond the Lab
At Bio-Rad, our commitment to advancing science extends far beyond the laboratory. Through community partnerships, mentorship, employee volunteerism, and support for local initiatives, we aim to inspire curiosity, empower educators, and strengthen the communities we serve. By combining education with outreach, we help make science more accessible, inclusive, and impactful around the world.
As a company built by and for scientists, Bio-Rad proudly makes science education and outreach a cultural cornerstone. Our efforts range from engaging employees in meaningful volunteer opportunities to fostering programs that support students and teachers worldwide. Together, these initiatives amplify our impact, connect science with communities, and help shape a more informed and inspired future.
Empowering Curiosity, Inspiring Futures
Bio-Rad is committed to nurturing curiosity and scientific ambition in students from all backgrounds—especially during their early exposure to STEM.
Through initiatives like our employee-led Science Ambassador events and the Bay Area Biotech Summer Academy, we provide hands-on experiences that make learning dynamic and inclusive. Through the Bio-Rad Scholarship Program, we invest in students passionate about science or engineering by providing financial assistance to help them pursue their goals, and in our local community, we help fund robotics programs at schools in Hercules, California.
Through the Bio-Rad Explorer™ Program, we lead innovation in science education by developing hands-on lab activities activities, curricular resources, and training that, alongside Bio-Rad equipment, translate real-world science into meaningful classroom experiences.
By combining product innovation with community engagement, we expand access to science education to inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers, and innovators.
