Description
Use the RC DC Protein Assay for samples containing reducing agents and detergents. This assay, based on the DC Protein Assay, is a modified form of the Lowry assay that is both reducing agent compatible (RC) and detergent compatible (DC), whereas the DC Assay is only detergent compatible.
- Linear over a wide range of protein concentration; standard assay, 0.125–1.5 mg/ml and low concentration assay, 5–250 µg/ml
- Read wavelengths, 650–750 nm
- Absorbance values are stable ≥ 1 h
- Quantitate protein in sample loading buffer prior to gel electrophoresis, either 1-D or 2-D format
- Determine protein recovery in cell lysates
