Description
Description
Use transparent MUD/SF Microplates for Enterococcus Testing for miniaturized testing using Most Probable Number (MPN) estimation of fecal contamination in all types of water sample including bathing, waste, and surface water. Hydrolysis of 4-methylumbelliferyl-β-D-glucoside (MUD) by the enzyme, β-D- glucosidase, present in Enterococci, is detected by UV fluorescence.
Features and Benefits
- Quantitative detection of Enterococci in all types of water sample including those with high levels of suspended matter
- Method requires no growth in broth or on agar plates
- Microplate format permits dilutions and replicates of a sample on the same plate
- Simple and economical detection with long wavelength UV lamps
- Use with Fluoplate™2 Software (3591790) for analysis and full traceability reports
