Premixed Transfer Buffers
Three concentrated premixed transfer buffers are available: 10x Tris/glycine, 10x Tris/CAPS, and 20x SSC, as well as 10x PBS and 10x TBS.
Overview
Western blotting transfer buffers must allow effective elution of proteins from the gel matrix as well as their effective binding to membranes. Three premixed transfer buffers are available: 10x Tris/glycine, 10x Tris/CAPS, and 20x SSC.
Processing blots for protein detection is very simple with premixed wash buffers and blocking solutions. Premixed wash buffers in PBS, TBS, and SSC reduce the number of stock solutions to prepare. Premixed blocking buffers, available as 1x PBS with casein and 1x TBS with casein, take the time and effort out of solubilizing casein.
