Overview

The RC DC™ (reducing agent and detergent compatible) protein assay is a colorimetric assay for protein determination in the presence of reducing agents and detergents. The RC DC protein assay has all the unique features of the original DC protein assay, but covers a broader range of reagents. This assay is based on the Lowry protocol, and its expanded capabilities offer:

  • Assay compatibility with mixtures of reducing agents and detergents
  • Simple, proven protocol for protein quantitation directly in complex reagent mixtures, such as Laemmli buffer and Bio-Rad's ReadyPrep reagents

RC DC protein assay kits offer either bovine serum albumin or bovine γ-globulin standards.
