Use the PX1 PCR plate sealer to melt sealing film or foil to the rims of PCR plate wells. This provides consistent and uniform sealing across an entire microplate to minimize sample evaporation during PCR, qPCR, or ddPCR applications. This small-footprint heat sealer is ideal for classroom laboratories and is compatible with many PCR plates and different types of films and foils.
The semi-automated PX1 PCR Plate Sealer provides fast, consistent sealing. Uniform sealing over the whole plate is particularly important for low-volume samples where small amounts of evaporation can have significant effect. In qPCR experiments, differential evaporation from wells can lead to large standard deviations in the number of quantification cycles (Cq).
This versatile, sturdy, and semiautomated heat sealer features an intuitive touch screen and is ready to seal in less than 3 minutes. Modify the sealing temperature and time with the touch of a button.
