Description
The PROTEAN® II xi 2-D electrophoresis cell provides all the components required for 2-D electrophoresis using polyacrylamide tube gels. This single unit is able to:
- Run both tube gels for first-dimension IEF and slab gels for second-dimension SDS-PAGE
- Accommodate up to 16 first-dimension tube gels in a single IEF run using the tube gel adaptors
- Accommodate up to four* 16 x 16 cm or 16 x 20 cm slab gels (using the 20 cm length for greater resolution)
- Use beveled plates and an accessible slab gel surface to make it easy to position tube gels on the slab gel without an agarose overlay
* For higher throughput, the PROTEAN II xi multi-cell provides 6-gel capacity for second-dimension runs.
