Description

One of the most common methods for scientific discovery is the purification of biomolecules via column chromatography. Chromatography is a separation method in which components of a mixture are distributed between two phases: a mobile phase and a stationary phase. Bio-Rad offers numerous prepacked chromatography columns in multiple sizes for purification and characterization of proteins, nucleic acids, and peptides.

Bio-Spin and Micro Bio-Spin Columns
Prepacked Bio-Spin and Micro Bio-Spin columns clean up protein and DNA samples quickly. These columns are filled with specially sized Bio-Gel P gels and are shipped fully hydrated and ready to use. These products effectively clean up and remove salts, nucleotides, and small molecules from DNA, RNA, and protein samples in just 10 min. Prepacked columns offer the convenience of media provided in a format ready to use for common applications.

Bio-Scale Mini Cartridges
Prepacked Bio-Scale Mini cartridges are convenient, disposable, and supplied ready for use in protein separation. The cartridges are prepacked with Bio-Rad's chromatography media for ion exchange, affinity, size exclusion, and hydroxyapatite technology. They are designed for use with BioLogic systems, a peristaltic pump, or any other chromatography system. For simple step elution, the cartridges can be used with a syringe. Fittings are available for connection to HPLC- and FPLC-type systems.
