Anti-DNA EIA Kits

Bio-Rad offers three autoimmune EIA tests for the detection of autoantibodies to DNA in human serum or plasma: Kallestad Anti-dsDNA EIA, Bio-Rad Autoimmune Anti-dsDNA EIA and Bio-Rad Autoimmune EIA Anti-ssDNA. Anti-DNA testing is intended for use in the diagnosis and management of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and certain other rheumatic diseases.

Antibodies to dsDNA are highly specific for SLE and are detected at a high frequency in untreated patients with active disease. The presence of antibodies to dsDNA in SLE has been included as one of the criteria for disease classification by the American College of Rheumatology (ACR). Bio-Rad’s Anti-dsDNA EIA assays offer simplicity, sensitivity, reproducibility and objectivity over other testing methods. Furthermore, these assays are standardized by reference to the World Health Organization (WHO) anti-dsDNA standard, Wo/80.
