Description
Use PCA (Plate Count Agar), without Dextrose (glucose) Agar as a non-selective medium to estimate the total viable bacterial in a sample. Usually duplicate plates are incubated at two different temperatures. The European Standard is incubation of one set at 36 ± 2°C for 44 ± 4 hr, and the other set at 22 ± 2°C for 68 ± 4 hr.
