Overview

Use PROTEAN Plus hinged spacer plates to cast 20 x 20.5 cm or 25 x 20.5 cm gels for the PROTEAN Plus Dodeca cell. Two glass plates are joined by a silicone hinge that eliminates leaks and prevents edge effects.

Description

PROTEAN® Plus hinged spacer plates are used to cast gels for the PROTEAN® Plus Dodeca™ cell. They are two glass plates joined together by a silicone hinge.

Key Features

  • Silicone hinge eliminates potential current leaks to prevent edge effects in the gel
  • Differential plate heights facilitate easy IPG strip or tube gel loading
  • Integrated spacers bonded onto the long plate guarantee perfect alignment during casting
  • Markings on each plate indicate spacer thickness for easy cassette identification

The hinged spacer plate sizes are the same for both 20 and 25 cm wide gels and are available for 1.0, 1.5, or 2.0 mm gel thicknesses.

PROTEAN Plus combs are available to cast a reference well and either a 20 or 25 cm IPG well. They are available for 1.0, 1.5, or 2.0 mm gel thicknesses.
