22 References Published from January 2020 to March 2023
In recent years, a significant number of scientific articles have been published about the COVID-19 pandemic, which increased the spread of invasive mycoses in hospitals. The damage caused to patients' lungs by SARS-CoV-2 created an ideal environment for Aspergillus infections, particularly COVID-19-associated pulmonary aspergillosis, which was further complicated when patients were immunosuppressed.
This bibliography features 22 scientific articles published between January 2020 and March 2023 that address this growing issue. The selection highlights the diverse and impactful ways that the Bio-Rad Platelia Aspergillus Ag assay has been used since the COVID-19 pandemic.
The references were selected through the Bio-Rad Literature Search Process, that follows the guidelines of the European Regulations (EU) 2017/746 and uses the Embase and MEDLINE databases. The process involved a systematic scientific literature review, identifying scientific and clinical data relevant to the Platelia Aspergillus Ag assay, focusing on its intended use, target populations, performance, and any gaps in clinical evidence.
