The TeSeE^® purification kit is formulated to purify and concentrate obex samples for subsequent detection of bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) in cattle and lymph node samples for subsequent detection of chronic wasting disease (CWD) in deer and elk. Each kit can purify 192 samples. The kit contains reagents for digestion of normal proteins (PrP) with proteinase K, allowing the diseased prion (PrP^Sc) to remain undigested.
