Practices for inventory management amid supply chain disruptions
The COVID-19 pandemic affected life in myriad ways, with supply chain uncertainty being one of the most widespread and lingering. It has now been over three years since the start of the pandemic, so why are supply chains still hampered? The answer is complicated. While some supply issues were a direct result of factories being redirected to produce other goods, such as hand sanitizer, others are secondary effects of having ports of entry closed for long periods of time, or consumers using their stimulus checks or pandemic savings to drive up demand before markets and suppliers were fully recovered.
