Achieve Publication-Ready Western Blot Results

HTML
Proteins interacting with Beads-Alpha

Would your western blot data hold up under peer-review?

Journal article retractions are increasing, often due to accidental or intentional duplication or manipulation of western blot images. Because of this, western blot data is now under heightened scrutiny from journals, reviewers, and watchdog groups, increasing the risk that your results could be questioned, or your publications rejected or delayed if they don’t meet today’s stricter standards.

Watch part 1 of our webinar series to see how watchdog organizations are uncovering problematic western blot data. Then, sign up for part 2 to get practical guidance on protein normalization and other best practices to make your western blot results more reliable, reproducible, and defensible.

Speakers

Kenneth Oh

About the presenter:
Kenneth Oh currently manages the electrophoresis and western blotting product portfolio at Bio‑Rad. He earned his PhD in bioorganic chemistry at UC Santa Barbara, where he synthesized fluorescence‑based peptide beacons that measured nucleic acid and protein binding events. Before joining Bio-Rad, he co‑founded a biotech company that re‑engineered virus capsids into a drug delivery platform.

Sahel Mohebbi

About the presenter:
Sahel Mohebbi is a Proteomics Field Application Scientist at Bio-Rad, specializing in western blotting, Bio‑Plex immunoassays, and chromatography. She earned her Ph.D. in bioinorganic chemistry from the University of Georgia, where she focused on the spectroscopic characterization of metalloenzymes and biological iron-sulfur centers. Before coming to Bio-Rad, she studied the effect of diet and micro-nutrition on the immune response, the gut microbiota, and liver cancer development at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
