UriSelect 4 is a non-selective chromogenic medium for the isolation and enumeration of all urinary tract microorganisms. It can be used for the direct identification of E.coli (pink colony), Enterococcus (blue colony), and Proteus (brown colony), as well as presumptive identification of other species. It is available in a choice of 3 formats. UriSelect 4 Medium is a non-selective chromogenic agar medium for the isolation, differentiation and enumeration of urinary tract pathogens. UriSelect 4 Medium allows for the differentiation and immediate identification of Escherichia coli, Enterococcus spp. and Proteus mirabilis and presumptive identification of some other urinary pathogens, in particular KESC group Enterobacteria (Klebsiella, Enterobacter, Serratia and Citrobacter) and PMP (Proteus-Morganella-Providencia) group.
