SaSelect Medium

SaSelect is a chromogenic medium designed for the direct identification of Staphylococcus aureus, as well as the additional isolation and differentiation of other Staphylococcus species. SaSelect cultures are easy to read due to the phosphatase activity that allows for the direct identification of S. aureus of pink to orange colonies. Other Staphylococci species may appear as white, faint pink, blue to turquoise, and purple colonies. Economical, effective, and reliable, SaSelect is ideal in the use for patients with mixed Staphylococci species.
