Gene Information

This gene encodes a member of the L1 subgroup of the immunoglobulin superfamily. Members of the L1 subgroup are associated with axons during development of the nervous system, and are characterized by the presence in the extracellular portion of the protein of six immunoglobulin-like domains and five fibronectin type III-like repeats.
