Profinia Protein Purification System Kits

Profinia kits are used in a variety of protein purification methods, such as IMAC, GST, and desalting, carried out on the Profinia protein purification system. Three main kit configurations are available:

• Profinia purification kits
• Profinia starter kits
• Profinia buffer kits

Profinia purification kits are supplied with a set of prepacked Bio-Scale Mini cartridges (for IMAC, GST, or desalting), application-specific purification buffers, and cleaning and storage reagents. Profinia starter kits contain a set of purification cartridges and application-specific buffers and reagents, but are also supplied with a control lysate to facilitate system setup and initial purification. Profinia buffer kits are an appropriate choice if you require only additional buffers and cleaning and storage reagents.

Profinia consumables are optimally formulated and ready to use, minimizing the time required to obtain a purified sample. Typical yields and recovery from a single purification run on a 1 ml cartridge are:

• ≥10 mg protein in ~35 min for native IMAC
• ≥10 mg protein in ~20 min for denaturing IMAC
• ≥10 mg protein in ~50 min for GST

All reagents included in these kits are made with chromatography-grade solutions and have been prefiltered through a 0.2 µm filter. These reagents are specially formulated to work with the Profinia instrument. They will allow you to automatically carry out equilibration, binding, washing, and elution steps as well as necessary cartridge maintenance procedures, such as cartridge cleaning and storage.
