Bio-Scale™ Mini Macro-Prep^® High Q and Macro-Prep High S Cartridges

Bio-Scale Mini Macro-Prep High Q, High S, and DEAE cartridges are 1 ml and 5 ml Bio-Scale Mini cartridges filled with either Macro-Prep High Q, Macro-Prep High S, or Macro-Prep DEAE support:

• High Q — strong anion exchange; chemical form –N⁺(CH₃)₃, protein capacity ≥37 mg/ml BSA
• High S — strong cation exchange; chemical form –SO₃^-, the ion-moderated partition chromatography technique, protein capacity ≥49 mg/ml human IgG
• DEAE — weak anion exchange; chemical form –HN⁺(C₂H₅)₂, protein capacity >35 mg/ml protein

Macro-Prep ion exchange media meet the demands of analytical applications. These rigid, macroporous hydrophilic media provide exceptional capacity, resolution, and throughput in a chemically and mechanically stable form. Macro-Prep media operate well at low and medium pressures and exhibit minimal volume changes in response to variations in pH or ionic strength. These media provide consistent and reproducible results.

Bio-Scale Mini cartridges have a double-wall cartridge design* that provides extra durability and allows easy, reliable runs at pressures up to 45 psi with the aqueous buffers most commonly used for protein separation. Convenient, ready to use, and disposable, the cartridges have chemically compatible polypropylene parts. Bio-Scale Mini cartridges are designed for use with BioLogic systems, a peristaltic pump, or any chromatography system; simple luer fittings make connections easy. For simple step elution, the cartridges can be used with a Luer-Lok syringe. Fittings are available for connection to HPLC- and FPLC-type systems.
