* A 3% ReadyAgarose gel is easier to handle and gives the same performance as a standard 4% gel.

Migration From Lane to Lane

Reproducible migration from lane to lane in ReadyAgarose gels. A 3% gel was loaded with 375 bp and 530 bp fragments in alternating numbered lanes and with molecular marker, 100 bp–2 kb, in the marker lanes (M).

High Resolution ReadyAgarose 3% Gel

High resolution. ReadyAgarose 3% 12-well gel. Lanes 1, 2, 7, and 8, 20 bp EZ Load ruler; lanes 3, 4, 9, and 10, 100 bp EZ load molecular ruler; lanes 5, 6, 11, and 12, pBR322/EvaII and EcoRI digest. Gel was run at 100 V for 70 min in TAE buffer.

Hand Casting Options for a Variety of Gel Sizes

Two accessories are available for hand casting with the Sub-Cell family of electrophoresis cells: gel casters and casting gates. Gel casters offer the flexibility of accommodating several different-sized gel trays. These are available for the entire line of Sub-Cell systems. Casting gates, available in specific sizes for each cell, offer the convenience of casting directly in the Sub-Cell cells.

ReadyAgarose precast gels are prepared in UV-transparent gel trays designed to fit securely in Mini-Sub cell GT and wide Mini-Sub cell GT cells. ReadyAgarose gels come in a choice of 27 gel types, including ReadyAgarose 96 Plus gels, which resolve nucleic acids from 20 to 20,000 bp. The gels are individually packaged and cast in their own running tray using the Bio-Rad Certified line of agaroses. The UV-transparent trays have well numbers and a ruler printed on them for easy reference. ReadyAgarose precast gels will also fit other manufacturers' electrophoresis cells. ReadyAgarose 96 Plus Gels
ReadyAgarose 96 Plus precast gels are designed for high-throughput DNA electrophoretic applications, particularly for the analysis of PCR and RT-PCR products, DNA libraries, arrays, and SNPs, which often require running multiple samples on a single gel. The 2 cm resolution distance for high-definition separation of small fragments covers most high-throughput needs. These gels fit securely in any of the wide Mini-Sub cell GT systems.
