The NGC single-wavelength (UV) detector module features an integrated conductivity monitor to measure buffer conductivity between 0.01 and 999 mS/cm using a nominal volume of 6 µl.
The single-wavelength detector contains LED UV lamps and filters that monitor UV absorbance of nucleotides (255 nm) and proteins (280 nm), one wavelength at a time. The integrated conductivity detector monitors real-time salt gradients. This UV detector can be used with two interchangeable flow cells with path lengths of 5 and 10 mm.
A flow restrictor can be added to the flow path, when using medium-pressure columns, to generate a backpressure that prevents the formation of air bubbles in the UV flow cells.
Flow cells are available in 5 mm and 10 mm sizes. Replacement lamp is available.
Other modules may be added to your NGC medium-pressure chromatography system to increase functionality and automation. For example, plug in the multi-wavelength detector module for the simultaneous four-wavelength detection of elution fractions between 190–800 nm, the sample pump module for accurate sample application and the column switching valve module for attachment of multiple columns used in various applications or for column scouting.
