The Mini-PROTEAN® Tetra cell for handcast gels (catalog #165-8001) and PowerPac™ Universal power supply (catalog #164-5070) are bundled together in this offering.

This Mini-PROTEAN 4-gel vertical electrophoresis system is used for casting and running 1.0 mm thickness gels. The system comes with a tank, lid with power cables, 1 electrode assembly, 1 companion running module (to run up to 4 gels), 1 mini cell buffer dam, 2 casting stands, 4 casting frames, 5 10-well combs, and 1 set of glass plates (5 short glass plates and 5 spacer glass plates).

The versatile, easy-to-use Mini-PROTEAN Tetra cell is ideal for vertical mini gel electrophoresis. This electrophoresis cell accommodates 1 to 4 Mini-PROTEAN precast or handcast gels. The Mini-PROTEAN Tetra cell eliminates tedious assembly procedures and has a patented sealing mechanism* that prevents assembly errors during handcasting.

The PowerPac Universal power supply fits the broadest range of applications of all power supplies on the market, from mini vertical and high-throughput electrophoresis to blotting. The PowerPac Universal power supply's user interface lets researchers easily monitor run progress with details such as the constant variable, elapsed time, and volt-hours. Intuitive programming permits multistep methods and timed runs with a choice of constant voltage, current, or power output. PowerPac data transfer software (catalog #164-5097) makes it easy for users to organize, display, print, analyze, export, and annotate run data from the PowerPac Universal power supply. The power supply's built-in wireless IR capability allows easy transfer of run data from anywhere in the laboratory. Data can be sent first to a PDA and then to a PC or directly to a PC with a peripheral IR receiving device.
