* The bubble trap should be protected from overpressure. A pressure relief valve mounted on the upper clamp is recommended. The Bio-Rad 3/4" pressure relief valve (catalog #739-2595) can be used with 0.8, 3.5, and 5.4 L bubble traps. The Bio-Rad 1" pressure relief valve (catalog #739-2596) can be used with the 9.1 L bubble traps.

The Bio-Rad bubble trap prevents air bubbles from entering process chromatography columns. Available in 0.8, 3.5, 5.4, and 9.1 liter sizes with either glass or acrylic tubing, it can be used with any Bio-Rad process chromatography column. It is easily mounted on a column and is connected to the column with a flexible hose. The Bio-Rad bubble trap also reduces residual pulsation.

The recommended maximum flow rate is listed for each size. Each Bio-Rad bubble trap is delivered with four clamp collars, four EPDM clamp gaskets, two clamp caps, and two flexible hoses.
