Microseal 96-well semi-skirted PCR plates are compatible with instruments requiring full-height PCR plates, such as Applied Biosystems DNA sequencers, thermal cyclers (except fast cyclers), and real-time PCR systems. The plates are recommended for PCR sample volumes of 5–125 µl (330 µl maximum). The semi-skirted design adds stiffness and a surface for labeling. Due to raised edges around the plate, a pressure pad (ADR-5001) is required when sealing these plates with film for use in any Bio-Rad thermal cycler. The plates are free of DNase, RNase, and human DNA.

For more robust performance with automated systems and better compatibility with non-ABI instruments, use Hard-Shell full-height 96-well semi-skirted PCR plates.
