Microseal 'B' seal is an adhesive-based sealing option for thermal cycling applications using thin-wall PCR plates. The aggressive adhesive layer ensures secure sample storage or transport before or after cycling, as well as tight sealing during PCR when adequate pressure is applied by a heated lid. Perforated end tabs can be removed when using this sealer on semi-skirted PCR plates or with automated plate handlers. Available alone or as part of the optical film sealing kit, this clear polyester film allows inspection of sample wells and effective light transmission for optical assays, including real-time PCR. The robust adhesive is effective from –40°C to 110°C. The seals are free of DNase, RNase, and human DNA.
Microseal 'B' adhesive seals are recommended for use in the CFX, iQ-series, Chromo4, and DNA Engine Opticon 2 real-time PCR detection systems. For the best results with Opticon 2, use the optical compression pad or optical film sealing kit:
