Optical sealing tape is an adhesive-based sealing option for optical assays demanding a low-fluorescent background. The tape is validated for real-time PCR on iCycler iQ systems (Bio-Rad) and for melt-curve analysis on the LightScanner system (Idaho Technology, Inc.). The moderate-strength adhesive layer ensures easy removal of the tape after reactions. Microseal 'B' adhesive seals are recommended if strong sealing performance is needed.
