Centrifuges are an integral component of general-use laboratory equipment needed in almost any experimental workflow. Bio-Rad offers two research-quality centrifuges and a PCR tube adaptor to accommodate your classroom needs.

Mini Centrifuge
This economical and reliable mini centrifuge handles most teaching laboratory applications, including quick sample spin-downs and cell pelleting. This compact unit is provided with a microtube rotor, a PCR strip tube rotor, and adaptors for 0.4 and 0.5 ml tubes.

Model 16K Microcentrifuge
The Model 16K microcentrifuge is the ultimate benchtop centrifuge, designed for all your teaching laboratory applications. The motor is brushless, exceptionally quiet, and requires no routine maintenance. The instrument is provided with an 18-place rotor to accommodate 1.5 and 2.0 ml tubes. For spinning PCR strips or tubes, use the PCR tube adaptor, which is sold separately.

PCR Tube Adaptor for Model 16K Microcentrifuge
This adaptor holds two PCR 8-tube strips or up to 16 individual 0.2 ml tubes. The adaptor fits on top of the standard 18-place rotor and is easily attached and removed from the rotor. The PCR tube adaptor is sold separately from the Model 16K microcentrifuge.
