TANGO optimo Reagents

Erytype^® S and Solidscreen^® II are proprietary test systems used for blood group serology testing. Microplates and liquid reagents have unprecedented stability providing long on-board storage and product shelf life. The TANGO^® optimo has refrigerated storage and a unique mixing system that allows even the most delicate reagent red blood cells to remain viable and in suspension for up to seven days on the instrument. This allows for the fastest sample start time by eliminating the need for frequent reagent, strip or card loading.

Erytype S
The Erytype S Blood Group System is a ready-to-use hemagglutination microplate method that has been available in Europe for over 20 years. The system combines ease-of-use with proven methods by providing microplate wells precoated with blood grouping monoclonal antibodies. Traditional agglutination reactions result and the agglutination patterns are captured and interpreted by the TANGO^® optimo. Assays include forward and reverse ABO group with D test, ABO forward group, Rh type, and Rh+K phenotype.

Solidscreen II
Available in Europe since 1992, the Solidscreen II Assay provides blood banks with a standardized method for antiglobulin testing. The assay combines traditional low ionic strength test methods with a unique solidphase format. Unlike other solidphase methods using red cell stroma, the Solidscreen II Assays use a microwell coated with Protein A which has a high affinity for the Fc portion of AHG. The system allows the use of the same liquid reagent red cells and low ionic strength solution as is used in tube antibody screening and identification. This unique solidphase method offers advantages such as long shelf-life, long on-board storage, and outstanding specificity and sensitivity. Assays include antibody screening and indentification, cross matching (Anti-IgG), direct antiglobulin test, and Weak D testing.
