User-selectable filters support a multitude of applications with a broad range of excitation and emission wavelengths. Custom filter sets are also available from your local Bio-Rad sales representative. This table lists commonly used fluorescent assays and recommended excitation and emission filters.

Discontinued Product
The VersaFluor fluorometer is no longer available. However, current users of this instrument can still order cuvettes, filters, and other accessories.

Fluorescent assay fluorometer kits, for rapidly assaying the reporter enzymes β-glucuronidase and β-galactosidase or for quantitating DNA, can be purchased for use with the VersaFluor fluorometer.

The VersaFluor fluorometer provides fluorescent detection at high levels of sensitivity and selectivity for:

  • Quantitating DNA, RNA, and proteins
  • Detecting apoptosis
  • Performing reporter enzyme assays

If you are already using the VersaFluor fluorometer, refer to this Filter Selection Guide to determine the appropriate filters for your applications.
