Exclusive Sso7d Fusion Polymerase Technology to Empower Your PCR

Sso7d, a 7 kD protein obtained from Sulfolobus solfataricus, binds to dsDNA without any sequence specificity.

Sso7d is covalently linked to a DNA polymerase and is able to stabilize the polymerase-template complex without compromising the structural integrity, thermal stability, or catalytic activity of the enzyme.

The unique structure of this Sso7d fusion polymerase provides several significant advantages over ordinary DNA polymerase:

  • Increased processivity
  • Effective amplification in GC-rich regions or strong secondary structure
  • Efficient amplification of longer products
  • Superior tolerance to PCR inhibitors

Unrivaled Performance with Various PCR Inhibitors
PCR inhibitor tolerance testing was carried out with SsoAdvanced™ Universal Inhibitor-Tolerant SYBR® Green Supermix against two competitive SYBR® Green Reagents.

Results demonstrated unrivaled performance of SsoAdvanced Universal Inhibitor-Tolerant SYBR® Green Supermix when tested with 27 types of PCR inhibitors.

The values represent the maximum percentage and concentration for which a ≤ 1 Cq delay was noted. Any delay > 1Cq was deemed unacceptable for inhibitor tolerance.

Crude Lysate Tolerance Comparison

Crude lysate tolerance testing was carried out with SsoAdvanced™ Universal Inhibitor-Tolerant SYBR® Green Supermix and several competitive SYBR® Green Reagents.

Results demonstrated superior crude lysate performance of SsoAdvanced™ Universal Inhibitor-Tolerant SYBR® Green Supermix compared to competitive reagents. Each qPCR reaction was performed using sample-specific qPCR assays. Commercially available sample-specific lysis kits were used to obtain the crude lysates.

Allele-Specific qPCR for SNP Genotyping
