ID-Card Fy^a

Bio-Rad provides testing products for Antigen Fy^a. Both Duffy antigens are fully developed at birth. Fy^a frequently causes immunisation while Fy^b is rarely the cause of immunisation. Anti-Fy^a and anti-Fy^b are practically always of immune origin. They both cause hemolytic transfusion reactions and can, although not frequently, cause hemolytic disease of the newborn (HDN).
