Description

The Pathfinder® Chlamydia DFA kit uses a direct immunofluorescence technique to provide clear, easy-to-read, and reliable results within 15 minutes. Chlamydial antigens are detected using a monoclonal antibody to the C. trachomatis major outer membrane protein (MOMP) that has been linked to fluorescein isothiocyanate. This test detects all 15 serovars specific to Chlamydia.

The Pathfinder® Chlamydia Culture Confirmation provides clear and reliable staining of intracellular inclusions (elementary bodies and reticulate bodies) in tissue culture. The monoclonal antibody used in this kit is directed against chlamydial lipopolysaccharide.
