This is the amplicon context sequence in accordance with the minimum information for the publication of real-time quantitative PCR experiements (MIQE) guidelines. For more details, please refer to the following publication, "Primer Sequence Disclosure: A Clarification of the MIQE Guidelines."
Real-time PCR probe assay designed for gene expression analysis. Probe assays consist of unlabeled PCR primers and a dual labeled fluorescent probe.

PrimePCR™ Template for Probe Assay: IGF2R, Human
The protein encoded by this gene is a receptor for both insulin-like growth factor 2 (IGF2) and mannose 6-phosphate (M6P). The IGF2 and M6P binding sites are located on different segments of the receptor. This receptor functions in the intracellular trafficking of lysosomal enzymes the activation of transforming growth factor beta and the degradation of IGF2. While the mouse Igf2r gene shows exclusive expression from the maternal allele imprinting of the human IGF2R gene appears to be polymorphic with only a minority of individuals showing expression from the maternal allele.
