This is the amplicon context sequence in accordance with the minimum information for the publication of real-time quantitative PCR experiements (MIQE) guidelines. For more details, please refer to the following publication, "Primer Sequence Disclosure: A Clarification of the MIQE Guidelines."
Real-time PCR probe assay designed for gene expression analysis. Probe assays consist of unlabeled PCR primers and a dual labeled fluorescent probe.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the syntrophin family. Syntrophins are cytoplasmic peripheral membrane proteins that typically contain 2 pleckstrin homology (PH) domains a PDZ domain that bisects the first PH domain and a C-terminal domain that mediates dystrophin binding. This gene is specifically expressed in the brain. Transcript variants for this gene have been described but their full-length nature has not been determined. [provided by RefSeq Jul 2008]
