This is the amplicon context sequence in accordance with the minimum information for the publication of real-time quantitative PCR experiements (MIQE) guidelines. For more details, please refer to the following publication, "Primer Sequence Disclosure: A Clarification of the MIQE Guidelines."
Real-time PCR probe assay designed for gene expression analysis. Probe assays consist of unlabeled PCR primers and a dual labeled fluorescent probe.

The protein encoded by this gene contains six repeated kelch motifs that are structurally similar to recombination activating gene 2 (RAG2) a protein involved in the activation of the V(D)J recombination. In mouse this gene is found to express specifically in testis. Its expression in pachytene spermatocytes is localized to cytoplasma and meiotic chromatin which suggests that this gene may be involved in meiotic recombination. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found. [provided by RefSeq Jun 2011]
