This is the amplicon context sequence in accordance with the minimum information for the publication of real-time quantitative PCR experiements (MIQE) guidelines. For more details, please refer to the following publication, "Primer Sequence Disclosure: A Clarification of the MIQE Guidelines."
Real-time PCR probe assay designed for gene expression analysis. Probe assays consist of unlabeled PCR primers and a dual labeled fluorescent probe.

This gene encodes a protein which is a member of the calcitonin-related hormones. The encoded protein is involved in maintaining homeostasis in many tissues acting via CRLR/RAMP receptor (calcitonin receptor-like receptor/receptor activity-modifying protein) complexes. Multiple alternatively spliced variants encoding the same protein have been identified. [provided by RefSeq Dec 2011]
Products used to generate validation data:
Amplification of cDNA generated from universal RNA.
Melt curve analysis of above amplification.
Standard curve generated using 20 million copies of template diluted 10 fold to 20 copies.
