Pemphigus Assays

The detection of anti-skin antibodies aids in the diagnosis of chronic vesicular-bullous diseases including pemphigus, pemphigoid, etc. Anti-basement membrane antibodies are most commonly found in patients with active bullous pemphigoid, followed by vesicular and cicatricial pemphigoid, respectively. Epithelial antibodies are diagnostic of pemphigus.
